Warranty Policy
Last Updated: August 17, 2026
This Warranty Policy applies to Conor products purchased through our New Zealand website, authorised resellers and trade partners.
1. Your Rights Under New Zealand Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA), where the Act applies.
The CGA provides consumers with minimum guarantees relating to the quality, safety, durability and suitability of products. If a product does not meet a relevant guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy such as a repair, replacement or refund, depending on the nature and seriousness of the problem.
Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act apply independently of this manufacturer's warranty. Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits, excludes or replaces any rights or remedies you may have under New Zealand law.
2. 2-Year Manufacturer Warranty
Conor productsย include a 2-year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase.
The manufacturer's warranty covers genuine defects in materials and workmanship occurring during normal domestic use, subject to the terms and exclusions below.
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Conor may, subject to your rights under New Zealand law:
- Repair the product
- Replace the product with the same or a similar model or
- Provide another appropriate remedy.
Where the Consumer Guarantees Act applies, the remedy available to you will be determined in accordance with that Act.
3. What Is Covered
This manufacturer's warranty covers genuine manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that occur during normal intended domestic use of the product.
This may include defects affecting the product's normal operation, functionality or construction that are attributable to manufacturing or material defects.
4. What Is Not Covered
Subject to your statutory rights under New Zealand law, this manufacturer's warranty does not generally cover problems caused by:
- Physical damage, breakage, impact or accidental damage,
- Misuse, abuse, neglect or improper handling,
- Interference with automatic components, including forcing or resisting a lid while it is opening or closing,
- Applying excessive pressure or force to moving parts beyond normal intended use,
- Damage caused by children or external interference,
- Incorrect installation or failure to follow the product's installation instructions,
- Damage caused during removal, reinstallation or modification,
- Use of non-genuine parts or unauthorised repairs,
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic deterioration that does not affect functionality,
- Damage caused by unsuitable cleaning products, chemicals or substances,
- Damage caused by water pressure outside the product's specified operating range,
- Damage caused by plumbing conditions, fittings, valves, connections or other site-specific conditions outside the product's control, or
- Commercial, rental or high-traffic use unless expressly approved by Conor in writing.
These exclusions do not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
5. Installation Requirements
Products that connect to a mains water supply must be installed in accordance with applicable New Zealand plumbing requirements and the manufacturer's installation instructions.
Where the installation constitutes sanitary plumbing work, it should be carried out by an appropriately authorised New Zealand plumber.
Conor is not responsible for the workmanship of an installer or for site-specific plumbing conditions. However, nothing in this section limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act where those rights apply.
6. Water Damage and Property Damage
Bidet products connected to a water supply must be installed correctly to reduce the risk of leaks or water damage.
Subject to your statutory rights, this manufacturer's warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, incorrectly fitted plumbing components, leaks resulting from installation workmanship, misuse, modification or failure to follow installation instructions.
Where a product defect covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act causes reasonably foreseeable loss or damage, you may have rights to compensation or another remedy under New Zealand law.
7. Purchases Through Marketplaces
For products purchased through third-party marketplaces or platforms, including Amazon, please contact the original seller or marketplace in accordance with its applicable processes.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act or other applicable New Zealand law.
8. Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact us before removing, disposing of or attempting to repair the product, where reasonably possible.
You may be asked to provide:
- Proof of purchase,
- Photos or video showing the issue,
- A description of the problem,
- Product model or serial number, where applicable,
- Installation details, and
- Any other information reasonably required to assess the claim.
We may request additional information, troubleshooting steps or an inspection of the product before determining the appropriate remedy.
If the issue is determined not to be covered by the manufacturer's warranty or applicable consumer guarantees, we may offer a paid repair or replacement where available.
9. Warranty Period
The 2-year manufacturer's warranty applies to Conor products purchased on or after 17 August 2026.
Regardless of the manufacturer's warranty period, any applicable rights and guarantees under New Zealand consumer law continue to apply where required by law.
10. Warranty Is in Addition to Your Legal Rights
This manufacturer's warranty provides additional protection and does not replace your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
The Consumer Guarantees Act may provide remedies even after the manufacturer's warranty period has ended if the product does not meet the guarantees required by law.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any right, remedy, guarantee or liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under New Zealand law.
